Unit Price nUT 80001 nUT FEDERAL NEGARIT GAZETA OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA yZB MKR bT yw xJ CONTENTS 718/2011 6007 $5 1. 2. 718/2011 A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR NATIONAL PAYMENT SYSTEM WHEREAS, the national payment system is an essential component of the financial infrastructure of the country, whose safety, security and efficiency is critical to ensure financial stability, economic growth and financial inclusiveness; WHEREAS, it has became necessary to provide rules on establishment, governance, operation, regulation and oversight of the national payment system so as to ensure its safety, security and efficiency; NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows: PART ONE GENERAL Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the "National Payment System Proclamation Definitions In this Proclamation unless the context requires otherwise: '4 23 84 2011
