Unit Price nUT 80001 FEDERAL NEGARIT GAZETTE OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA CONTENT Proclamation The Ethiopian Press Agency Establishment 11524 1151/ 2019 A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ETHIOPIAN PRESS AGENCY WHEREAS ,Freedom of Thought, Expression and Freedom of the Press were guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; press in its capacity as an institution requires legal protection with the view to enable it enjoy operational freedom and accommodate different opinions; and it is proclaimed that a mass media operating using the public fund or government owned mass media is required to be managed in a manner it accommodates different opinions; WHEREAS , Press plays a vital role in creating common national attitude and view which are necessary to jointly create a single political community based on equality and consensus by providing timely and accurate information to the people, educating and entertaining citizens as well as by implementing Constitutional Rights of expressions of citizens and by accommodating entertaining different opinions and attitudes of the people with the view to create national conciseness which is necessary to create a single political society and nurture democratic system; as well as by mobilizing the public towards 80 2019
